A motorcyclist was killed and another was injured in a collision with a pick-up at Itahari-2 in Sunsari last night. According to the district police office, the deceased is 28-year-old Lomas Dahal of Ithari-2.
Lomas died when a pick-up truck coming from Dharan towards Itahari hit the motorcycle which was coming in the same direction on the Koshi Highway at Itahari-2 Gangamarg.
In the same accident, 29-year-old Saroj Guragai of Itahari-5, who was riding a motorcycle, was seriously injured, according to the police. The injured Gurgai is being treated at a neuro hospital in Biratnagar, police said. The preliminary investigation of the police revealed that the accident happened because the pick-up vehicle was over-speeding.
