In its bid to promote tourism in Bandipur of Tanahun district, the Ujyalo Bandipur program has been started in Bandipur, a popular tourist destination in the hill of Tanahun district.
Under the Ujyalo Bandipur program, streetlights have been installed on the roads here. Electric poles have been fixed and the roads have been made attractive after developing stone sidewalks, Chairman of Bandipur Rural Municipality Surendra Thapa said.
Earlier, Rotary Club had installed some street lights in the Bandipur bazaar area.
"We have allocated Rs 2 million for the installation of street lights," Chairman Thapa said.
Likewise, a QR code has been arranged to share information about the touristic sites of Bandipur. The QR code has been placed in the main market and plans are ongoing to place it in 15 other locations.
The rural municipality has allocated Rs 800,000 for the stone sidewalk in the Bandipur market area. The rural municipality said that plans are afoot to develop stone sidewalks in Dharampani, Kalleri, Majhthar, Korisa, and other areas.
