The number of viral fever patients in the southern part of Humla is high at present. The number of fever patients in the district including the southern region is increasing day by day.

According to health workers, the number of patients has been increasing in the last few months before the new variant of Covid-19 Omicron infection spread across the country. The number of patients in the area has increased since the end of January. With the increase in the number of viral fever patients, the number of patients going for treatment at health posts across the district has also increased.

According to Aheb Ashok Mahatara of the health post, 167 people have come for treatment of viral fever at Srinagar health post in Adanchuli village in a period of one week. The number of patients in the area has been high since the end of January and more than 400 fever patients have come for treatment in a short time, said Aheb Mahatara.

Although the symptoms are similar to those of the corona, it has been reported that there are problems with the corona due to the lack of a test kit. The number of patients with Humla-like symptoms has started increasing in Humla even though Covid-19 is becoming weak all over the country. Health workers have said that the number of diseases is increasing not only in Adanchuli of Humla but also in other villages.

In Humla, which has seven local levels, most of the patients are suffering from viral fever. Apart from the district hospital in the district headquarters, other health institutions are short of kits at present. Lack of kits has made it difficult for health workers to check. With the increase in the number of patients, it has been found that the citizens of this region are facing more problems.
