The Supreme Court has said that it will soon announce its verdict on the writ petitions filed against the House of Representatives. The apex court has stated that the verdict will be announced by the second week of Asadh (June 28).

The constitutional bench of the Supreme Court that is hearing the case has also issued an order stating the time that will be provided by both sides to place their arguments. As per the order, both sides will get a total time of 15 hours to place their arguments.

The petitioners will get a maximum time of 12 hours to place their arguments while the government side will get a total of three hours to place its argument, according to the constitutional bench. Each advocate will get a maximum of 30 minutes to place their arguments.

Since it is important to issue a verdict on the writ against the dissolution of the House of Representatives as soon as possible, hearings on the case will be conducted in a continuous manner.

To assist the constitutional bench with the case two senior advocates each from Nepal Bar Association and Supreme Court Bar Association will be appointed as amicus curiae.
