Police in Jhapa district arrested a youth on charge of raping a 21-year-old girl from Buddhashanti Rural Municipality on Monday afternoon.
The accused has been identified as Nur Khan alias 'Raju Thapa' (24), a local resident of Pulchowk in the same municipality.
Khan allegedly lured and raped the girl at Bansbari-based Subhakamana Hotel and Lodge in Mechinagar Municipality-11 on June 22.
Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Dhulabari-based Area Police Office nabbed Khan.
Further investigation into the case is underway, said the police.
