The Jumla Agriculture Development Office has distributed modern agricultural equipment to the farmers. Chief of the office, Ganesh Adhikari, informed that agricultural equipment has been distributed to increase production by using technology and mechanization in agriculture. In the current fiscal year, the office has provided equipment to all the eight local level commercial farmers of the district from ploughing to oiling, grinding and threshing barley, wheat and paddy.
Eighteen threshers, two threshers, three threshers and 16 ploughing implements have been distributed, said the office chief. The office said that the materials were distributed with the objective of reducing the workload of women, mechanizing agriculture and saving time.
