CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that there is no possibility of immediate cooperation with the CPN-UML.

Speaking at a press conference organized by the Press Association Nepal Pradesh Samiti here today, he said, "There is competition between the party that is institutionalizing the upcoming election change and the party that is obstructing the parliament." President Dahal said that he would go before the people with the priority of winning the election on his own by presenting his views, agenda and vision.

"The next election is a competition between those seeking to institutionalize and reverse change," he said. Chairman Dahal, said that the alliance took a positive view as the Nepali Congress-led prime minister had said that he would go to the polls jointly with the coalition parties.

He said that the top leadership of the coalition parties had discussed with the UML leadership not to block the parliament but as there was no consensus, the coalition parties had agreed to hold the election within the stipulated time by passing the bill.

In response to a question from a reporter about the Morang's Rangeli municipality chief leaving the UCPN (M) and joining the CPN (UML), Dahal said that some people were leaving the party and coming and going, due to their personal interests.

Stating that there is no possibility of reaching an agreement with the UML in the election immediately, he said that an alliance with the Nepali Congress could be formed in some places. He said that the election could be held by forming an alliance with the leftist party which shares the Maoist ideology.

Stating that the MCC would be implemented in a dignified manner, Dahal expressed confidence that it would help in development including national independence.
