Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale provided financial aid of Rs 30,000 in total to two patients from the Doti district for them to get medical attention.
The beneficiaries were Krishna Devi Saud, 48, of Sayal Rural Municipality-5 and Indra Bahadur Saud, 48, of Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality-9 in the district, according to Minster Ale's Secretariat.
Krishna Devi, who received injuries in the spinal cord after being buried by the mound of soil on February 15, is currently receiving treatment at the National Trauma Centre in Kathmandu. Minister Ale visited the Centre and provided her Rs 15,000 on a personal level after inquiring about her health condition.
Similarly, Indra Bahadur, who is also being treated at the Centre for an actinomycosis infection in his leg, received Rs 15,000 for his treatment. Minister Ale also expressed his commitment to providing further support to the patients in future, said the Secretariat.
According to Minister Ale's personal aide Bhakta Bahadur Saud, Minister Ale has provided financial support to over 1,000 needy patients from Sudurpaschim Province to date.
