USAID Administrator Power in Nepal

US Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Samantha Power has arrived here for a two-day visit to Nepal.
During his visit, he will meet with civil society organizations and government officials, according to the American Embassy here. It is said that Administrator Power will closely monitor the relationships that USID has partnered with local communities to support a democratic and prosperous Nepal.
Administrator Power will highlight USID's commitment to further increase engagement with Nepal, emphasizing the 75-year-long partnership of the United States of America with the government and people of Nepal. During his visit, he will express his commitment to increasing USAID's support in Nepal. In addition, USAID's statement mentions that new programs will be announced on Nepal's democratic practice, federalism, social inclusion, civil society, and press freedom.
It is expected that USAID's role in Nepal's development and the high-level visit will further heighten Nepal-US relations. It is expected that the visit of the chief officer of USAID, who has been playing an important role in the economic, social, and educational development of Nepal for more than six decades, will be of special importance.
Who has administrator power?
Samantha Power assumed office as USAID's 19th administrator on May 3, 2021. He has been leading the world's leading international development agency and has more than 10,000 employees worldwide.
Power served as the 28th US Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 2013 to 2017. During that time, he united countries to fight the Ebola epidemic, ratify the Paris climate accord and develop new international laws to weaken ISIS's financial network.
Administrator Power was on the staff of the US National Security Council from 2009 to 2013, serving as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights.
He started his professional life as a war correspondent in Bosnia. Power, who has reported from places including Kosovo, Rwanda, Sudan, and Zimbabwe, is the author and editor of various books and is also the winner of the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for non-fiction.
