Two COVID-19 infected women have died in the past 24 hours. Of the deceased, a 59-year-old infected woman of Janaki Rural Municipality-3 died at Tikapur Hospital, according to the hospital management.
Likewise, another infected woman, 50, of Lamkichuha Municipality-5 died at Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi, said liaison officer at the district administration office, Kailali, Shiva Raj Joshi.
For the past few days, Nepal is witnessing a daily record of almost 25-35 deaths due to COVID-19 in a single day as the second wave of a virus is resurfacing like a Tsunami.
