Two people were killed in a car accident on Sunday morning near Kamalamai Municipality of Sindhuli under BP Highway.
According to the district police office, when the car coming from Kathmandu towards Sindhuli went out of control and fell about 20 meters from the road, two of the three people in the car died on the spot, and another one was seriously injured.
According to the police, the deceased is 43-year-old Kumar Puri, a car driver from Charpane, Jhapa district, and 38-year-old Sahara Prasai, a resident of Kathmandu Gaurighat. Another passenger, about 33-year-old Yogendra Thapa, a resident of Pyuthan, has been seriously injured.
The seriously injured Thapa was treated at Sindhuli Hospital and sent to Kathmandu for further treatment, police said.
