Two persons died after the motorcycle they were riding on hit a pothole and fell on the road in Bara district on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as staff at National Investigation Department, Province Office, Hetauda, Head Constable Shashi Kanta Jha (38), and Constable Sanu Kaji Chitrakar (30).
The motorcycle (Na 27 Pa 636) heading towards Nijgadh from Pathlaiya ran into a pothole and fell on the road killing one of them and injuring another one at Balganga, Piple along the East-West Highway, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Dipendra Shahi at Bara District Police Office.
Jha died on the spot while Chitrakar died in the course of treatment at Gandak Hospital, Birgunj, SP Shahi told Nepal News.
