Two persons, including a policeman, were killed in a collision with a passenger bus in Jhapa today.
According to Basanta Pathak, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Jhulke Devi Yatayat (bus) (No. 1 Kha 7187) collided with a motorcycle (No. 1202040P 7149) at Shivasatakshi-Dharampur section of the East-West Highway in Jhapa this morning.
The deceased have been identified as Prakash Rai, 26, of Pathari-Shanischare-8, Morang and Jituhang Rai, 26, of Shadananda, Bhojpur. The deceased has been identified as Prakash, a police constable working at the District Police Office, Jhapa, while Jituhang is a temporary police officer. Police have taken the bus and its driver under control.
