Police in Siraha district apprehended two persons with 9.7 kg silver for which they could not reveal the source from Bhagawanpur Rural Municipality-1 on Monday night.
The arrested have been identified as Shyam BK (27), a resident of Golbazar Municipality-3 in Siraha district, and Man Prasad Gadali (28), a local resident of Damak Municipality-3 in Jhapa district.
They were riding on a motorcycle with registration number PRA 2-0044 PA 1321. Bhagawanpur-based Temporary Police Post nabbed the duo with the silver during a routine vehicle check. They had hidden the silver in a bag.
Further investigation into the case is being carried out, informed the Bhagawanpur police post.
