Police in Bhojpur district arrested two men on charge of killing a cow from Ekletol in Bhojpur Municipality-4 on Saturday morning.
The arrested have been identified as Pemba Tamang (26) and Purna Bahadur Tamang (60). Both are residents of the same municipality in Bhojpur district.
Acting on a tip-off that the duo was butchering a cow, security personnel deployed from the Bhojpur-based District Police Office in coordination with District Veterinary Hospital, Sankhuwasabha-based Animal Expert Service Centre, and Bhojpur medical professionals nabbed them from Purna Tamang's residence. The police have also seized 150kg of beef and other body parts of the cow from them.
