Speaker Ghimire added, "I told the top leaders that I have to take step if you do not initiate process to elect chairpersons."

The Speaker held meeting with top leaders today to make the parliamentary committees' role effective. Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Chairperson), Pushpa Kamal Dahal, CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Congress President, Sher Bahadur Deuba, and Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Dhan Raj Gurung, were present in the meeting.
