The level of Karnali corridor should be raised: Chairman Oli

CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the level of Karnali Corridor should be raised. He said that he was committed to provide quality transport services to the people of Humla by expediting the construction of the corridor.

 At a program organized by UML Humla today, Chairman Oli also claimed that a wave of development would come to the country after the local elections. He claimed that the UML government had put forward a big plan for the economic, social and overall development of the people during its tenure.

 Accusing the coalition of slowing down the development work in districts across the country, including Humla, when he was the Prime Minister, UML Chairman Oli claimed that the country's development work would take another leap after seven months.

 Stating that the people of Humla have been suffering due to lack of open border with telephone, internet, road, employment and other neighboring countries, he said that he has heard that the telephone has not worked properly in most of the wards of the district including North Namkha village municipality.

 Stating that he has taken the matter forward to connect Karnali Corridor to Hilsa, Chairman Oli said that the citizens of remote districts had to face problems in getting treatment when they fell ill. He said inter-district connecting airlines need to operate one flight daily.

 He said, "Humla is a district with potential for tourists. Transport facilities should be given first priority. Geographical development infrastructure should be given priority. ” Stating that the life insurance for senior citizens was implemented when the UML was in government, Chairman Oli said, "UML is the people's party that looks after the sufferings of single women, senior citizens, the elderly and the disabled."

 Chairman Oli said that three children of North Namkha Village Municipality-6 will be given free education up to class 12. He said that free education would be provided to three children from all the three schools in Til, Zhang and Halji villages.
