The number of drivers who violate traffic rules in Rasuwa section of Pasanglhamu road has started to increase day by day. Most of the vehicles at the Rasuwagadhi border crossing are not carrying the permits of the transport office, they are not carrying important documents such as blue books, and even the unlicensed people are found to be collecting container boxes in the normal course, so the traffic police have increased their vigilance.

According to the district police office, the traffic police are active in ensuring the full implementation of the traffic rules and compliance with the standards. In the last fiscal year, 5 thousand 826 small and big vehicles that entered Rasuwa from Kathmandu were prosecuted. In order to fully comply with the traffic rules, the traffic police alerted the drivers and vehicle owners and according to the nature of the incident, Rs 62 lakh 37 thousand 500 were collected as fines in the last financial year, District Traffic Incharge Ujjal Kumar Ghale said.

Two women and two men died in 15 small and big vehicle accidents last year. He informed that they have been asked not to give vehicles to people without a license, to use helmets and seat belts, to check their vehicles from time to time and to operate them only considering the weather.
