Students to get COVID vaccine from today

The government is planning to administer the first dose of Verocell vaccine against coronavirus for 11 days from today. The government is going to give 4.4 million doses of Verocell vaccine purchased from China in different districts.

In Solukhumbu, Taplejung, Sankhuwasabha, Jumla, Mugu, Humla, Dolpa, Darchula, Bajura and Rasuwa, the age group of 18 years and above will be able to get the vaccine, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. The ministry has also informed that the people who failed to get vaccinated earlier can get vaccinated this time.

Similarly, those above 35 years of age will also be vaccinated in Chitwan and Kavre of Bagmati province, according to the Ministry. Students over the age of 18 will also get vaccination. Similarly, the government is preparing to vaccinate 40-year-olds from Ramechhap, Makwanpur, Sarlahi. According to the ministry, first dose of vaccines will be given by 10 October. The ministry has informed that the second dose of Verocell vaccine from 21 to 31 October.
