CPN (Maoist Centre) Vice-Chairman Krishna Bahadur Mahara has said that the issues of the transitional justice should be concluded through the concerned commissions.

At an interaction programme on 'Peace Process in Nepal and Transitional Justice' in the Capital City on Monday, he argued that the decade-long war-era cases should be settled through the commissions. "The transitional justice is a matter of people's war. This is not the subject to be addressed from judges and court. This must be settled from the commission," Mahara added.

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Commission of Investigation of Enforced Disappeared Persons formed to settle the transitional justice are laying without office-bearers.

According to Mahara, the spirit of the Comprehensive Peace Accord should be grasped while advancing the transitional justice.

On the occasion, he said that former Maoist factions should move ahead united by forging unification or establishing working alliance.

During the programme, politician Hisila Yami said that the Commission's office-bearers should be given continuity to conclude the peace process.

She was of the view that the transitional justice should be resolved at the earliest possible time adding that it should not be made chronic.
