The Shuklagandaki and Beas municipalities of Tanahun have decided to grant a public holiday today on the occasion of Haribodhani Ekadashi. A meeting on Sunday ended with a decision to grant a public holiday in the municipalities as they have been granting leave for the last two years.
Devotees from different places including from the neighboring districts Syanja and Kaski flock to the banks of the Seti River at Dulegonda Pulchowk to take a bath.
Chief Administrative Officer, Dilliram Sigdel informed that the decision for holiday on Haribodhani Ekadashi was taken at a meeting of the executive committee held on November 14.
On the day of Haribodhani Ekadashi, big fairs are held in different places of the district like Seti river bank at Pulchowk of Shuklagandaki, Kotre, Dobhan of Bhimad municipality, Myagde, Bhimad Bazaar, Deuralinagar of Beas municipality, Shishaghat and Aanbukhaireni.
