Karnali state government has given a public holiday today. According to the decision of the state council of ministers, a public holiday has been given on the occasion of Shrawan Shukla Panchami (Nag Panchami), according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law.
Spokesperson of the Ministry, Deputy Secretary Nidhiraj Neupane said that the holiday will apply to all government and public organizations in the province. The Provincial Council of Ministers decided on the holidays to be given in the year 2022 in a meeting held on 4 April 2022.
In addition to Nag Panchami, Karnali state government has decided to give public holidays on the occasion of the State Foundation and Martyrs Day celebrated on August 20th, Paddy Day on June 29th (except Jumla), Paddy Day in Jumla on 26 March 2023, Deuda Day on July 17, Shri Krishna Janmashtami on 30 August, Ashoj Shukla Purnima on 20 October, Chaite Dashain on 15 January 2023.
