President Bidya Devi Bhandari has arrived in Pokhara today. She arrived on a Buddha Air flight and is scheduled to attend different programmes scheduled for Tuesday.
Gandaki Province Chief Prithvi Man Gurung, Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel and high-ranking government officers welcomed President Bhandari at the VVIP Longue of Pokhara Airport. The President is staying at Hotel Pokhara Grande located at Birauta of Pokhara.
The President is scheduled to visit the Bindyabasini Temple at 8:30 am on Tuesday and participate in diamond jubilee celebrations of Bindyabasini Secondary School, Batulechour, said Chief District Officer of Kaski, Jay Narayan Acharya.
Similarly, President Bhandari will participate in Trahote festival at Tamu Dhi at 1:00 pm on Tuesday and return to Kathmandu on the same day.
Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in Pokhara targeting the President's visit.
