A pedestrian has died after being hit by a tipper in Banke today.
According to Madhusudan Neupane, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Banke, 70-year-old Birbal Bhandari was killed when a tipper (No. 1A 656) heading towards Nepalgunj from Kohalpur hit him at Ranja Chowk of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolis-20.
Bhandari, who was critically injured in the collision, was pronounced dead by a doctor at the hospital, he said. Police said that the tipper and its driver were under control.
