An ordinance has been issued to amend the Nepal Citizenship Act. The ordinance was issued by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari today.
A statement issued by the President’s Office has mentioned that President Bhandari has issued the Nepali Citizenship (First Amendment) ordinance as per Article 114 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal.
The statement also states that the ordinance was issued as per the recommendation of the prime minister and the Council of Ministers.
