One person has been killed in an elephant attack in Chulachuli village of Ilam district. Ram Bahadur Thukung Rai, 39, of Samridhi Tol of Chulachuli Village Municipality-3 has died after being attacked by an elephant.
He was attacked by a wild elephant on his way out for a morning walk. After being attacked by an elephant in the morning, he was admitted to the Advance Hospital in Damak, Jhapa for treatment. He died at the hospital while undergoing treatment, said District Police Office Information Officer Janga Bahadur Thapa. He was attacked by an elephant about 200 meters away from the house.
