Two workers were electrocuted while fixing a tubewell in Kataiya at Rupani Rural Municipality-3 in Saptari district, informed local resident Mithu Majhi. Of the two, one died while the other is injured.
The deceased has been identified as Sanjib Lougi.
Meanwhile, the deceased's brother, Surendra Lougi is injured and receiving treatment at Rajbiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital.
They were fixing the tubewell at Bachai Majhi's home. Bachai's son Shiva Kumar Majhi got injured while trying to rescue them.
The body of the deceased has been sent to Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital for postmortem.
