A woman died while 38 others got injured in a bus accident occurred in Palpa on Sunday.
Radhika Paudel, 36, from Suryapura of Devdaha Municipality in Rupandehi district, died in the accident occurred at Tinau Rural Municipality-5 along the Palpa-Butwal roadway, according to Information Officer at District Police Office in Palpa, Birendra Thapa.
The bus (Lu 1 Kha 5956) heading to Burtibang of Baglung from Butwal met accident at 9:00 am Sunday. Thirty eight persons including the driver have been injured in the accident. The injured ones are receiving treatment at Lumbini Medical College, Palpa.
The Medical College informed that among the injured ones, five are in critical condition. The bus driver is Tulsiram Pande, 40, from Arghakhanchi.
The bus had slid some 100 meters down the roadway. Police informed that investigation into the incident is underway.
