A woman died after the scooter she was riding on was rammed by a truck in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-12 of Chitwan district, on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Rita Sharma (21) of Gaindakot Municipality-1 in Nawalpur district.
A truck (State 03 001Ka 0197) transporting poultry feeds to Gondrang from Narayangadh rammed a scooter (Na 48 Pa 8731) from behind critically injuring her near a bus terminal, on Friday afternoon.
Injured Sharma was rushed to Chitwan Medical College where she died in the course of treatment, said police and informed that her body has been kept at Bharatpur Hospital for the postmortem.
Meanwhile, investigation into the incident is underway, police informed.
