The Narayangarh-Muglin road has been obstructed again.
Two way traffic has remained disrupted after a landslide occurred at Ichhakamana rural municipality-5, bridge number three in Chitwan this morning.
Landslide caused a truck to get overturned on the road. Efforts were already initiated to remove landslide debris.
Police Inspector at the Area Police Office, Muglin, Bishal Tamang informed that the landslide halted two-way traffic along the Narayangarh-Muglin road.
A truck was overturned in the landslide site. In the accident, the truck driver sustained minor injuries. Police Inspector Tamang informed that preparation was made to remove the landslide debris and pull out the truck.
Landslides have been recurring in the particular site. The road section that saw disruption for around 18 hours on Sunday had come to work since last evening.
Immediately after resumption, the landslide occurred and disrupted road operation. It was quickly cleared off to bring the traffic to operation.
Daily thousands of vehicles pass through the road. The passengers moving to and from different parts of the country have been hit hard due to frequent disruption of the road.
The District Administration Office Chitwan has urged the people to not use the road section until and unless there is an emergency.
