Forest and Environment Minister Pradeep Yadav has said that even a single piece of government forest land will not be encroached upon. Inaugurating the Armed Forest Guard Post Building built in Ishwarpur Municipality-4 of Sarlahi today, he said that during his tenure, the forest land will not be encroached under any circumstances.
He said, "Green forest is Nepal's wealth, I will not allow anyone to usurp government land during my tenure, I will bring the forest mafia under the legal framework." Likewise, Minister Yadav promised to make land encroachment made in the name of squatters free of encroachment and provide land only to the right people and genuine squatters. He also instructed all the employees, including forest guards, to work for the protection of forests and forests as per the instructions of the Ministry.
He also appreciated the role played by the Nepal Police and the Armed Police in the protection of the forest so far while stressing that there is less manpower in the forest guards. Similarly, Minister Yadav expressed confidence that necessary support will be provided from all levels, sub-districts and regions to eliminate forest encroachment and smuggling in Sarlahi area.
