Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha has instructed the line agencies to render their services promptly and swiftly.

Inspecting the offices of the Social Security Fund and Foreign Employment Board in Kathmandu on Monday, Minister Shrestha told the staffers in these two agencies not to dillydally while delivering services to the service-seekers.

Stating that the public should avail public services at the earliest, Shrestha said, "We are the servants of the public. There should not be delay in delivery of public services. I am ready to facilitate if there is any problems for the same."

On the occasion, he took stock of the services being provided from both agencies. Minister Shrestha started his job on Sunday during which he had paid heed to the grievances of the labourers.

The Secretariat of Minister Shrestha said that the Minister also held meetings with the ambassadors of the UAE and Saudi Arabia and urged them for necessary cooperation to bring back stranded Nepalis home especially those labourers who were put behind the bars there and whose dead bodies have long been kept in mortuaries in those countries.

UAE's ambassador to Nepal Saeed Hamdan Al-Naqbi and Saudi Arabian envoy to Nepal Musaid bin Sulaiman Al Marwany held meeting with Minister Shrestha at the latter's personal residence at Baluwatar.

The two foreign envoys extended their congratulations to newly appointed Minister Shrestha and pledged to work for the mutual interest of both countries.
