Police arrested a man on the charge of killing his wife in Machhapuchchhre Rural Municipality-2 of Kaski district, on Tuesday.
The arrestee has been identified as Shri Ram Kami (65) of Bajhakhet in Machhapuchre-2. Police identified the deceased as Shri Maya Kami (55).
According to Police, Kami under the influence of alcohol hit his wife with a pestle critically injuring her head in a dispute. Injured Shri Maya was rushed to the nearby health post. She was later referred to the Western Regional Hospital, Gandaki where she died in course of treatment.
A joint team deployed from Ward Police Office, Bagar and Sardikhola-based police post arrested Kami on Tuesday morning.
Further investigation into the case is underway, said Police.
