Makawnpur people's representatives call on PM Dahal

People's representatives from Makawanpur have met with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal today.

 A delegation comprising members of the Federal Parliament and the Province Assembly, former lawmakers and members of Constituent assembly called on the PM this morning and drew his attention towards the topic of expansion of the Hetauda road, said the House of Representatives member Mahesh Kumar Bartaula.

According to him, the delegation, during the meeting with the Prime Minister, informed that the residents of the district would not obstruct the government's road expansion works, but demanded that the house owners and traders having their houses and businesses along the HID, Main Road and Rapti Road in Hetauda should be compensated before pulling down their properties for the road expansion.

The owners of houses along the highway from Ratomate to Ratopul of Hetauda have been calling for compensation while expanding the highway on this section.

The delegation also demanded from the government that the details of the houses to be affected by the road expansion should be collected and their owners given compensation before pulling down these houses for the road expansion.

The delegation comprised of HoR members Bartaula, Deepak Bahadur Singh and Bindabasini Kansakar, the National Assembly member Ram Chandra Rai, former lawmakers Krishna Prasad Dahal and Ananta Poudel, Province Assembly member Laxmi Shrestha, and Makawanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industries president Krishna Prasad Gupta Agrawal, among others. ---
