Leaders of ruling alliance to meet again today

The meeting of the leaders of the ruling alliance held this evening has concluded. The meeting will be held again on Sunday morning. The top leaders of coalition partners discussed the result of the recently held election and future plan to move on.

Today's meeting concluded with a decision to meet tomorrow morning and discuss further, said Minister for Communications and Information Technology and Nepali Congress leader Gyanendra Bahadur Karki.

Minister Karki said that today's meeting deliberated on the contemporary political situation especially the one that transpired following the elections. "We have agreed to move ahead respecting the mandate of the people," Minister Karki said.

Stating that the issues relating to current political situation figured the meeting today, the Minister assured that the current coalition could be given continuity in the upcoming government.

"In the current context, who will be the prime minister first is a secondary matter. There will be no troubles on this issue. How to take forward the nation as per the aspirations of the citizens is the primary matter. The next government will be led by the current coalition," he said.

The top leaders of the Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialist) and Rastriya Janamorcha were present at the meeting.

The President has given a weeklong time for the political parties to form the new government in the wake of the recently held parliamentary elections. The deadline given by the Head of the State is ending at 5:00 P.M. today
