The Kathmandu Valley Development Authority (KVDA) is struggling to deliver service due to a lack of human resources.

Despite having 137 quotas including the development commissioner, it is currently making do with only 60 employees, said administrative officer Subhash Chandra Aryal, adding that 13 of them have been deployed on deputation from civil service.

Similarly, the eighth level positions of a divisional planner, a divisional engineer, a senior legal officer and an administrative officer have remained vacant.

Also, the ninth level positions of a senior divisional engineer and a senior administrative officer, and the tenth level positions of deputy development commissioner under engineering and administration sections are lying vacant.

As a result of a lack of workforce, service delivery has been heavily affected, said Aryal.
