Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Hikmat Kumar Karki, is going to face the vote of confidence today. According to the Province Assembly Secretariat, Chief Minister Karki is facing the floor test in a Province Assembly meeting scheduled this afternoon.
Earlier, CM Karki had taken oath of office and secrecy on September 8. There are 29 members of the Nepali Congress, 40 of the CPN (UML) including Deputy-Speaker, 13 of the CPN (Maoist Centre), four of CPN (Unified Socialist), six of Rastriya Prajatantra Party and one of Janata Samajwadi Party in Koshi Province Assembly.
The Nepali Congress has already decided not to support the CPN (UML) led-government as per the decision of the NC Parliamentary Party while other parties have not yet made public their decision in this regard. ---
