Jumla's Patarasi village municipality has been declared a fully vaccinated municipality. According to the efforts and goals of the past two years, Patarasi has been declared a fully vaccinated municipality, said village chairman Purna Singh Bohora.

Health coordinator Ratan Budhapa said that they were able to ensure full vaccination to Patarasi by fulfilling all the indicators even though they were forced to declare full vaccination after one year due to Covid. Women's health volunteers and health workers had a special role to play in declaring the full vaccination campaign. Accordingly, the best seven volunteers and health workers of 7 wards have been honored with cash.

Chief of the District Coordination Committee, Gaurinanda Archay, said that it was a matter of pride for Patarasi to be declared a fully vaccinated municipality, which is considered remote in terms of education and health. He said, “The message is spread that all the children here are disease free and vaccinated. Other municipalities also need to run a full vaccination campaign. The leap made by Patrasi in health is commendable. ”

Chief District Officer Vijayakumari Prasai said that Patarasi has been successful in the full vaccination campaign which is considered as the main indicator of sustainable development. He mentioned that digging roads and constructing buildings is not only an indicator of development but also access of children to full vaccination from nutrition.

Patarasi has added bricks to the government's goal of ensuring full vaccination to Nepal by 1973 AD. Chairman of Patarasi Village Municipality Purna Singh Bohora said, “Emphasis will be laid on the effective implementation of the declaration to make the health sector of Patarasi strong and quality. From improving the nutritional status, the municipality will move forward in a policy manner on the issue of supply of medicines and regular health check-ups. ”

Chief Administrative Officer Bishnu Dhital said that there was no bigger issue than the announcement and there was an equal challenge in effective implementation. He emphasized that the full vaccination has been declared due to the hard work of the last two years and the general stakeholders should support its implementation. Public Health Officer Krishna Sapkota said that the government has given special priority to full vaccination, noting that vaccination is a natural right of children.
