The government has decided to bring 40 lakh doses of Vero Cell from China. A wide-body aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) will be flying to China on July 8 to bring the vaccines.
Nepal Airlines Corporation has also prepared the schedule of its flights to bring the COVID-19 vaccines from the northern neighbour. An NAC flight will depart from Kathmandu to China on July 8 and return on July 9 with the first lot of vaccines.
The second such flight will leave Kathmandu on July 15 and return on July 16. Another flight has been scheduled for July 22.
NAC has informed that 10 lakh doses of vaccines can be brought through one flight of a wide-body aircraft and the schedule to bring the remaining doses will be published soon.
