FOOD MANAGEMENT & TRADING COMPANY LTD(FMTC) has informed that goats will be available in the market for the Dashain festival starting Friday (October 8). The company has made preparations to bring in 2000 goats in Kathmandu considering the festive season. Last year 1 thousand goats and one thousand Changthangi (Chyangra) were sold by the company.
The company says this year there was a shortage of Changthangi (Chyangra) and the ones available were overpriced due to which there is no supply of Changthangi (Chyangra) is available this year. The company is bringing in 800 goats from Tulsipur, Dang, and 1200 from Hetauda, informed Sharmila Neupane, the Information officer of FOOD MANAGEMENT & TRADING COMPANY LTD of Bagmati province.
The sale of over 11 Lakh kilograms of goat meat is expected during Dashain in the Kathmandu valley. The company has also set up stores with reasonable prices to provide relief to the people during the festive season.
The FOOD MANAGEMENT & TRADING COMPANY LTD is giving 5-10 rs discounts on daily food materials in 39 districts through 43 different outlets.
