Police in Kailali district on Monday afternoon arrested three persons in possession of 6.175gm of heroin, six tablets of Nitravet, and one digital measurement device from Krishnanagar Tole in Dhanghadi Sub-Metropolitan City.
The arrested have been identified as Sanjip Singh (25) and Maina Saud (20), both residents of the same sub-metropolis in Kailali district, and Laxmi Bhatta (35), resident of Baitadi district.
They were peddling the drugs from Laxmi's rented room. Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Kailali-based District Police Office nabbed them with the substances.
Meanwhile, police in Surkhet district on Monday afternoon arrested a youth in possession of 110gm of heroin from Chisapani in Birendranagar Municipality-5.
The arrested has been identified as Arjun Sunar, a 20-year-old resident of the same municipality in Surkhet district.
Security personnel deployed from the Surkhet-based District Police Office nabbed him due to his suspicious activity while walking.
Further investigation into the cases is underway, said the police.
