Police in Sunsari district arrested five persons on the charge of vandalising a temporary police post at New Buspark in Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-15.
The arrested have been identified as Bikram Rai (24), Sijan Rai (27), Saroj Limbu alias 'Kalu' (26), Basanta Rai (30), and Regan Limbu (32), all residents of the same sub-metropolitan city in Sunsari district.
Bikram, Sijan, and Saroj were arrested on June 1 from Deurali in Dharan Sub-Metropolis-5 while Basanta and Regan were arrested on June 7 (Monday) from Chathar Pokhari-4 in Dhankuta district.
They allegedly vandalised the temporary post on May 27. Joint security personnel from the Sunsari-based District Police Office in coordination with Morang, Therathum, Dhankuta, and Province 1-based Police Bureaus arrested five out of the 10 accused during the search operation.
The police is looking for the other absconding accused, informed District Police Office, Sunsari.
