A shop located in Baglung bazaar caught fire that destroyed all goods in the shop on Friday morning.
Security personnel with the help of locals were making efforts to douse the fire that took place all of a sudden Shrestha Hardware. Police have yet to ascertain the cause of the fire.
Information officer Ekbal Hawari at the District Police Office, Baglung, said that though the details of the loss caused by the fire are still awaited, locals suspect that property worth more than 5 million rupees might have been destroyed.
Incidents of fire have increased in Baglung bazaar recently. Property worth around Rs 2 million was gutted when Srijana Furniture Factory at Baglung municipality caught fire this week.
Earlier, Green and Chill Restaurant located at main Baglung bazaar caught fire where property worth Rs 1.3 million was gutted.
