A farmer who went missing in an avalanche has been found dead four days later. According to the District Police Office, Manang, Achyon Gurung, Ajung Lata, 53, of Nasar Gaonpalika-4 was found dead on Sunday.
The body of Gurung, who had been missing in an avalanche for the past four days, was found covered in snow in the forest above the village, according to the police team deployed at Dharapani Border Police Post.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Subash Khadka informed that his body was found covered in snow. Gurung had gone missing on Wednesday afternoon as he could not reach home because of the snow.
Gurung's body has been taken to the district hospital in Bensishahar of Lamjung for autopsy.
