Taxis and buses have been installed at a cost of 13 million rupees under the clean energy project with the assistance of the Asian Development Bank. The government has incurred customs duty of 3.5 crores. An electric bus charging station has been commissioned in Lumbini for vehicles.

The bus will be used to transport tourists and pilgrims from Gautam Buddha International Airport at Bhairahawa to Lumbini. Similarly, it is aimed to connect Lumbini with various Buddhist sites of Tilaurakot, Ramgram and Devdah and to facilitate the movement of the tourists there.
