Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya has said that clean, free and fair election will be held on the scheduled date.
During the Local level election-2079 'Media Orientation' program organized in Janakpurdham today, he said that the Election Commission would hold a clean and fair election within the stipulated time as there was no possibility of postponing the date of the election. .
Chief Election Commissioner Thapaliya said that shifting the date of the election upside down or in any other way could lead to instability in the country and that the election will be held on its scheduled date of May 13 and no one should be afraid of the election.
Stating that there is no need to disrupt the election process, he claimed that the election of the House of Representatives, State Assembly, President and Vice President will be held this year along with the local level election. Chief Election Commissioner Thapaliya said that the election was considered as the greatest jewel of democracy and added that it was unfortunate that anti-election statements were being made in recent times. He urged the people not to take the election code of conduct lightly and said that action would be taken against those who violated it.
