Nepali Congress senior leader and newly-elected member of the House of Representatives, Ram Chandra Poudel, has said the election has proved that the people are in favour of democracy.
Addressing a congratulatory programme organised by the Nepali Congress Regional Working Committee in Damauli today, Poudel said by making the democratic forces victorious in the elections, the people have proved that they are in favour of democracy.
He said the people are in favour of respecting the history of the democracy movement and he would fulfill his responsibility as a legislator keeping the people in the centre.
Stating that people are dissatisfied in some matters, the NC senior leader expressed his commitment to address these dissatisfactions. He said Nepal has immense possibilities and we should move forward with making the best of these possibilities in each sector.
Newly-elected House of Representatives member from Tanahu constituency-2, Shankar Bhandari committed to working for the development and prosperity of Tanahu. Bhandari is also the central committee member of the Nepali Congress.
