An elderly man was killed by a tiger in Madhuban Municipality-2, Bardiya district. According to police, the deceased, identified as Jhotharu Tharu, 61, of Ambarpur in the municipality, was grazing buffaloes in the local Kushminiya community forest when the attack occurred.
Tharu, who had been missing since Sunday, was discovered dead in the forest early this morning. Following a police complaint filed by the victim's family, a joint team of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army, local government, Division Forest Office, Bardiaya, and local residents conducted a search and discovered him dead. According to police, Tharu's body was discovered in pieces.
