Don’t bring others' belongings: TIA

Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) issues a notice addressing Nepalis arriving from foreign countries. As smuggling, and illegal imports have increased in TIA, they have cautioned Nepalis not to bring others belongings with them.

Likewise, one can only carry limited numbers of electronic devices such as one phone, laptop and tablets with themselves. Similarly, if they carry extra electronic devices custom payment is mandatory.

Moreover, people can bring only one liquor bottle of one liter and if they bring more it will be seized.

And one can bring 50 grams of personal gold along with 200 grams of gold with reuqired permission.

Meanwhile, TIA have alerted not to bring any electronics or unknown materials given by others as there are high chances of smuggling other items (gold and drugs) inside. 

Despite heightened security at TIA, people are freely smuggling gold and drugs. 33 kg gold scam case is one of the major smuggling case in TIA.
