The Gorkha-Ambukhaireni road section, which was blocked since midday due to landslides due to continuous rain, has been re-opened. SP Kedar Khanal, Head of Police Office Gorkha, informed that the road has been re-opened after the landslide fell from above in Tinkilo Ghumti on the Gorkha-Ambukhaireni road section under the Prithvi highway in Gorkha municipality.
Bednath Bhandari, head of District Traffic Police Office, Gorkha, said, "After about 3 and a half hours, the landslide was removed by bringing the JCV from Tanahun side. "With the removal of the landslide, the road has been re-opened in both directions.
Last year there was a landslide in the same place. According to the traffic police, all the vehicles leaving Gorkha headquarters and entering Gorkha headquarters through Ambukhaireni Naka were operating regularly after the road was put into operation.
